1. Agreement to Terms

By initiating any payment through the Richmond College Old Boys Association (RCOBA) website ("the Site"), you ("the User," "Member," or "Donor") expressly acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept these terms, you must not proceed with the transaction. These terms are in addition to our general Website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

2. Transactions Covered

These Terms and Conditions apply to all online financial transactions processed via the RCOBA payment gateway, including Purchases of RCOBA-branded merchandise and other goods.

3. Payment Processing

3.1. RCOBA utilizes a secure third-party payment processor, [Sampath Vishva - Sampath IPG], to handle all financial transactions.

3.2.No Storage of Payment Details: RCOBA does not directly store, process, or retain your sensitive financial data, such as credit/debit card numbers or bank account details. All payment information is entered directly into our processor's secure environment and is governed by their privacy policy and terms of service.

3.3.Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the payment process. You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to use any payment method you employ.

4. General Policy on Refunds and Returns

All transactions processed through the RCOBA website are generally treated as final and are non-refundable and non-returnable. This policy is designed to support the efficient administration of the Association's charitable and operational activities.

5. Specific Refund & Cancellation Clause

5.1. Merchandise Purchases: Defective or Not-as-Described Goods: In compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, if you receive an item that is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you must notify us at [memento@rcoba.lk] within 14 days of delivery, providing details and photographic evidence. We will arrange for a replacement, repair, or full refund. Returns for Change of Mind: Returns of non-defective items (e.g., incorrect size, change of mind) are accepted at the sole discretion of RCOBA management. The item must be returned in its original, unused, and saleable condition within 14 days. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs, and a restocking fee may apply.

6. Pricing and Currency

All transactions will be processed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) unless otherwise explicitly stated. All prices and fees are displayed clearly on the Site prior to confirmation of payment.

7. Transaction Confirmation

Upon successful payment authorization, you will receive an on-screen confirmation and an automated electronic receipt sent to your provided email address. This email serves as your official transaction record. If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours but your account has been debited, contact us immediately at [treasurer@rcoba.lk].

8. Data Privacy and Security

RCOBA is committed to protecting your personal data. Information collected is used to process your transaction and manage your engagement with the Association, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. While we employ security measures, the technical processing of payments is handled by our third-party provider, and RCOBA cannot be held liable for data breaches on their platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RCOBA, its office-bearers, and agents shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from: Circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., internet/utility failures), Any act or omission of our third-party payment processor, Any fraudulent or unauthorized use of your payment instruments, or Your failure to provide accurate payment details.

10. Errors and Dispute Resolution

10.1. In the event of a billing error, you must notify RCOBA in writing within 30 days of the transaction date.

10.2.For disputes related to your payment method, you should contact your bank or card issuer directly.

10.3.These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Galle.

11. Amendments

RCOBA reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the payment gateway after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
